Royal Jordanian Airlines plans to modernize its fleet in the coming years by replacing some older aircraft with more efficient and comfortable new aircraft. The development plan includes replacing all Airbus A320-200 aircraft with Airbus A320neo aircraft and replacing all Airbus A321-200 aircraft with Airbus A321neo aircraft. Additionally, Royal Jordanian Airlines plans to purchase Boeing 787-10 aircraft, which are the largest in the Boeing 787 fleet.
Royal Jordanian Airlines Baggage Policy
Royal Jordanian Airlines allows passengers to carry free baggage on its flights, depending on the class they are traveling in and the destination they are heading to.
Business Class:
· Passengers in Business Class are allowed to carry two pieces of checked baggage, with one not exceeding 30 kilograms and the other not exceeding 23 kilograms. For flights to and from North America, Cairo, Khartoum, and Saudi Arabia, passengers are allowed to carry two pieces of checked baggage, with each not exceeding 32 kilograms. For flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Dubai, and Doha, passengers are allowed to carry one piece of checked baggage, not exceeding 32 kilograms.
· Passengers in Business Class are also allowed to carry two pieces of hand luggage, with each not exceeding 7 kilograms.
Economy Class:
· Passengers in Economy Class are allowed to carry one piece of checked baggage, not exceeding 30 kilograms. For flights to and from North America, Cairo, Khartoum, and Saudi Arabia, passengers are allowed to carry two pieces of checked baggage, with each not exceeding 23 kilograms. For flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Dubai, and Doha, passengers are allowed to carry one piece of checked baggage, not exceeding 23 kilograms.
· Passengers in Economy Class are also allowed to carry one piece of hand luggage, not exceeding 7 kilograms.
Special Baggage:
· Infants are allowed to carry free baggage weighing up to 10 kilograms, in addition to a collapsible stroller and/or their car seat.
· Wheelchairs are allowed to be transported free of charge and are not counted as part of the passenger's special baggage allowance.
Additional Fees:
If the baggage weight exceeds the allowed limit, additional fees are imposed for each extra kilogram. The cost per extra kilogram of baggage is $25 USD.
Baggage Requirements:
· Checked baggage must meet the following requirements:
· Dimensions must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in total.
· Weight must not exceed 32 kilograms.
· Bags must be securely closed.
· Hand luggage must meet the following requirements:
· Dimensions must not exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm (22 inches x 14 inches x 9 inches) in total.
· Weight must not exceed 7 kilograms.
Exceptions:
